The adult moth of this species has forewings that are dark brown, each with three white bands. The hindwings are plain grey-brown.

NOTE: Walker used the junior name Conchylis. The Checklist of the Lepidoptera of Australia, suggested placing this species as it's own genus as Subfurcatana subfurcatana, which is how I have listed it on this site as per ALA.
